Blow Molding is the process of producing hollow plastic parts. Firstly, raw material is heated and melted to tubes called as parisons. The machine blows hot air across the heated plastic parison which is placed on top of the mold cavity, the air forces the heated plastic to get expand across the interior walls of the cavity. The blow-molded part is ejected after it is cooled off. Blow molding is used to make containers such as soda bottles, water cans, shampoo bottles, coolers, toys, trays, etc made up of PET, PE, PVC, Polystyrene, polycarbonates, etc. Blow molding containers are used in wide range of end-use applications such as food & beverages, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, personal care & homecare, and others.

• Altium Packaging LLC (a plastic container company of North America) acquired Plastic Industries and Andersons Plastics in August 2022 to expand their business in North America.
• Esterform Packaging Ltd will use 6 kilo tons of recycled PET bottles annually to expand the supply of recycled PET bottles for applications such as carbonated drinks, alcohols and cooking oil as per news announced in January 2022. The PET bottles are processed at Biffa Seaham facility, in County Durham.
