Global P-Nitroaniline (PNA) Market Study, 2014-2030
Executive Summary : -
P-Nitroaniline (PNA) is a solid organic compound having C6H6N2O2. It is also known as 4-Nitroaniline, para-nitroaniline or 1-amino-4-nitrobenzene. It can be produced using various routes and is industrially produced via the amination of 4-Nitrochlorobenzene. P-Nitroaniline is used as a precursor to produce p-Phenylenediamine (PPD). It is used as an intermediate in the manufacture of dyes, antioxidants, pharmaceuticals and pesticides.
P-Nitroaniline commercially available in two grades, one is industrial grade with 98% purity and other is laboratory grade high purity grade with 99% purity. Industrial grade P-nitroaniline is used to manufacture various dyes and specialty chemicals, however high purity grades are consumed for research labs and in pharmaceutical applications.
P-Nitroaniline (PNA) Application -2019 ( Kilo Tons)
P-nitroaniline is used as an intermediate for the dye and pharmaceutical industry. It is an intermediate of various acidic, disperse dyes and pigments. In industry, PNA is used as a precursor to p-phenylenediamine (PPD) an important dye component and it is used to manufacture antioxidants and preservatives. PNA is the starting material for the production of Azo dyes. Azo dyes are used in the textile industry. PNA is a solvatochromic dye used for determining Kamlet-Taft solvent parameters.
PNA is used in the pharmaceutical industry to manufacture drugs like carbachol, niclosamide and nitrodiazepine. It is also used to manufacture veterinary drugs. It is an intermediate for rodenticides (rat poison). Rodenticides are pest control chemicals made and sold to kill rats.
